The Calgary Artist Way is a testament to my belief in creativity and the need for it in everyday life. I believe in creative expression and have travelled this path extensively to develop my art, speaking and healing practice. I look forward to touching people's lives and bringing meaning to everyday life.
Kim McCrimmon is the founder of the Calgary Artists Way, the City of Calgary's largest outdoor art gallery. Inspired by all the talented people she met in her day to day life, Kim envisioned beautifying the streets of SE Calgary with artist inspired banners. With over 54 unique pieces of art, 17 artists aged 7 to 70, this project continues to lift the spirits of all passers by. http://www.riverbendcommunity.ca/Banner%20Project.htm
The Calgary Artists Way
Kim McCrimmon has a vision to enhance the beauty, pride and culture of SE Calgary and the community of Riverbend through artist inspired banners. With the support of the Riverbend community association, this project has spread to include the communities of Quarry Park, Douglasglen and Douglasdale.
Extending along the main corridor of the four communities - from Glenmore trail to 130th avenue SE - these banners showcase experienced, new and upcoming artistic talent. Kim envisions creating a cultural destination within Calgary designed to inspire all passers-by and uplift the spirits of those who are touched by the project.
Kim and the banner committee have united the talent of local artists to showcase their work for all to see. 54 original works of art will be hung for all to see.
